Shipping Policy

Despatch Times

We will aim to despatch your ordered items in 1-3 business days.  If for some reason we are unable to meet this we will do our best to contact you within the timescale to explain the delay.

For custom orders, such as Dye to Order, we will aim to despatch within 3 weeks.  We will always try to turn this around as quickly as possible, if we cannot meet the 3 week turnaround we will contact you to let you know and provide a realistic timescale.  At busy times, such as during yarn show preparation, we may need to extend the turnaround times but we will announce this in advance.

For pre sale and subscriptions we will advertise despatch timescales at time of offering these.

Shipping Services

UK Shipping

Within the UK we use Royal Mail Tracked 48 as standard, this service is tracked to the delivery point and aims to deliver within 2-3 working days of despatch. 

You can also select Royal Mail Tracked 24, this service is tracked to the delivery point and aims to deliver next working day following despatch.

These delivery timescales are provided by Royal Mail.

International Shipping

For shipping outside of the UK we use Royal Mail International Standard, this service aims to deliver in 3-5 working days within Europe and 6-7 working days for the rest of the world.  These timescales are provided by Royal Mail and subject to change with current timescales of customs and mail handlers in destination countries. 

This is a tracked service to the delivery point.

You will be subject to any import* and tax charges applied in the destination country, please check you are familiar with these costs before ordering.

*EU Customers

We are not required to provide a Customs Declaraton for the purpose of sending goods from Northern Ireland to the EU as due to special agreement post Brexit Northern Ireland remains in the EU Customs Union and therefore customs taxes and duties are not applicable.  You may be subject to VAT charges depending on the value of your order.

Inspiring Yarns is not currently VAT registered.

Exemptions

We do not currently ship to Germany as we are not registered to legally introduce packaging under the German Packaging Act.

Packaging

We aim to use environmentally friendly packaging options where possible and may recycle single use plastics to achieve safe delivery of goods.
