Collection: Retrosaria Rosa Pomar

Retrosaria (Portuguese for haberdashery) started online in January 2008. In the end of 2009 they opened a shop at Rua do Loreto, in the heart of Lisbon.  Rosa Pomar spends her time between the shop and her field research of Portuguese textiles. One of the products of this work is a range of yarns, some of which are handspun by skilled artisans using traditional tools and methods.   We currently stock Mondim, a non-superwash sock weight yarn made from fine Portuguese wool and Beiroa, a DK weight yarn made exclusively from the wool of Serra de Estrela sheep native to Portugal.
